Product Review: Chicco Polly Highchair

We’ve always had issues when it comes to highchairs.  I’m not sure if its because my Little Man is lazy, or if its because he’s a boy, but he does insist on slumping in them.  The highchair we bought for him was great for the first few months, then all of a sudden he began to sink lower and lower.  We have the same problem with the highchair he uses at either Grandparents house, so I’m convinced it’s my Little Man and not the chairs!
Or at least I was until the people at Chicco offered to send me a chair to review.
A perfectly upright child eating his fruit – victory!
The Chicco Polly highchair is brilliant.  The saviour as far as my Little Man is concerned is the padded insert in the seat.  As he grows this will obviously be removed, but right now its supporting him nicely, and making slumping impossible.
The Chicco Polly is usable from birth when it can be tilted backwards to make a lovely relaxing place for baby to nap, or to play with the mooing cow – my Little Man wasn’t entirely sure when I asked him to model this position for me.
Silly Mummy!
The Chicco Polly comes with a large detachable tray so it can be used on its own, or can be pushed up to the dining table when baby gets older.  With several height positions it is sure to fit at all tables and will adjust to suit you if you’re feeding your child from the comfort of your sofa.  When your little one is 12 months plus the chair can be used as their own free-standing seat.
Apart from the fact my Little Man no longer slumps my favourite feature of this highchair is the large storage basket.  I’ve seen these on lots of highchairs and always dismissed them as being gimmicky – couldn’t live without it!  Spare bibs, muslins and wipes are constantly accessible – and when you have a messy eater like I do that’s essential!
Thank you Chicco for saving the day!!
