New Pyjamas For Christmas!

If there is one gift you can rely on this Christmas its a new pair of pyjamas. Nestled beneath your Christmas tree this year there will no doubt be at least one pair of pyjamas for someone in your family. There are a great range of pyjamas out there at the moment and they make a great gift – we all need pyjamas! – so here are a few suggestions if you’re searching for that perfect pair.

Once again my favourite store Asda have delivered yet again with some great pyjamas. They have a huge range of womens pyjamas on offer, but these are my absolute favourites – I think we can all admit to having felt this at least once this week already can’t we? With full length legs and sleeves these make great snuggly winter pyjamas, and I think the checked design of the trousers and the matching trim on the top makes them a little bit festive. These are available now online and in store and are currently on offer at just £9!

If you’re significant others fancy getting into the festive spirit – kind of – as well then whilst you’re in Asda getting your own pyjamas, pick up a pair of these great fleece lounge pants. One features a moose design, and the other a polar bear. Both in bright seasonal colours and most importantly cosy fleece material they are a nice fun addition to any present this year. I am rather tempted to get my husband a pair! You’ll find them in store and online at £10 each.

For any pirate fans in your house these cute pyjamas are from Minene. The pattern on the trousers is nice and colourful and features lots of great pirate themed pictures. And for the girls there is this sweet hearts design featuring coloured hearts on the top and coordinated pink trousers. Again these are both long sleeved and have full length trousers, and they are made from jersey cotton making them nice and soft against little peoples skin. You can find both designs and more on the Minene website for just £13.

Product Review: Minene 4-In-1 Changing Bag

Changing bags come in all shapes and size, and range from totally functional to the more style-led end of the market.  The team at Minene sent me one of their bags to review after taking a shine to it at a ‘Christmas In July’ event earlier this year.
The 4-In-1 Changing Bag from Minene is just that – four separate bags that can be used either clipped together as one bag, or individually as one large super bag.
Firstly there is a backpack – this has two large deep zipped pockets and then two thermal pockets on the side for bottles.  Inside the two deep pockets are a selection of smaller pockets and a detachable thermal pouch that fits food and snacks in which need to be kept at temperature. There is also a zip pocket on the back with a comfortable changing mat inside.
Next there is a satchel bag – this is cunningly “hidden” inside one of the deep pockets.  When used within the backpack I utilised the security of a double zipped pocket to store items like my purse, car keys and camera.  When used separately it is a stylish shoulder bag, which I often use as a handbag when I’m out without my Little Man!
Then there is a smaller shoulder bag – this clips to the front of the backpack and is designed to hold your nappies and wipes.  With the separate straps which can be attached this transforms into a handy shoulder bag.
Finally there is a small purse – this is ideal if you’re just nipping out and want to have an emergency nappy and pack of wipes with you just in case.
All of these separate bags have been used as one easy to carry rucksack, and have also been used separately when every component part wasn’t needed.  As I said earlier I have even used the satchel bag as a handbag when I went out recently without my Little Man – it really is that attractive and roomy.
The Minene 4-In-1 Changing Bag is available online and comes in a variety of colours.
Minene have another changing bag – the Layla.  This is designed to look much more like a designer handbag than a changing bag, and does the job beautifully.  It has one large zipped pocket, three external thermal pockets and a matching changing mat.
The Layla Changing Bag is available now online and at Babies R Us in a variety of colours.

Product Review: Minene Innovative Cot Bumper

This will be the first of two reviews I do from the company ‘Minene’.

“Who?” I hear you all cry. Three young mothers established ‘Minene’ in 2005 and like all mothers they wanted practical and innovative products for themselves and their children, but they also wanted them to be stylish. Unable to find what they were looking for in their native Israel they set out and designed their own. Now launching in the UK their range is “their baby” and contains products that will make your life so much easier – and to be honest, that’s what all mothers are looking for!

The “Innovative Cot Bumper” is a genius product in my opinion. A set consists of 5 individual cotton bumpers that wrap around each bar of your cot. Instead of having a long material bumper tied with strings that baby often pulls down of uses to climb up, each bumper is secured with Velcro. Much safer than traditional bumpers for young babies they allow the air to circulate around the cot and you can also see through to your child from a distance. They are super soft to touch and nicely padded to ensure no more bumped heads when your little one starts rolling around. The bumpers can be quickly and easily removed and transferred to future cots or taken on holiday or visits to grandparents and used on cots there.

My Little Man is often found rolling and rampaging around his cot so bumpers are essential. If he rolls when he’s asleep and bangs his head of these bumpers he no longer wakes up and we don’t find him with a bumper on his head in the morning because he can’t get these off the bars. A truly innovative product that I recommend highly to all mothers, and fathers too!

Innovative Cot Bumpers are available direct from Minene at their website. They are available in three colour choices – blue, pink and white.
