Time For A Bigger Bed

Little Man is not so little anymore. He’ll be three in October – eek – and is currently still sleeping in his original cot bed. The cot bed was brilliant – a quick and easy transition from cot to toddler bed and, if we had space, a sofa too. Hopefully the cot bed will have a new resident in the next couple of years, and seeing as though Little Man is now rather tall, its time to start looking for a new bed for him.

We’ve been looking in lots of different places for a new single bed for him, but as yet we haven’t quite agreed on one. I like the fun cabin beds, with ladders and storage underneath, but I think Daddy wants him a little closer to the ground. We’ve seen some very cool car shaped beds which I’m sure he’d love, but that’s probably not a long term investment. Chances are we’re just going to get him a simple wooden bed, maybe a low cabin bed with a few drawers underneath, but probably nothing too fancy. We’ve been looking at nice cheap beds in a few locations, but I’m quite tempted to one I’ve seen in the children’s beds department at T J Hughes. Its perhaps a bit higher than Daddy would prefer, but I like the included desk and the hideaway den area underneath.

TJ Hughes Cabin Bed With DeskDefinitely one to add to the “Maybe” list. Hopefully we’ll get him one in time for his birthday or Christmas at the latest. One things for sure though; my Giant Little Man is growing up.
